Automation ROI calculator: what is that process costing you?
Put your own numbers in. This is an estimate built from what you tell us, not a quote, but it is the same sum we do before quoting anything.
Assumes 46 working weeks and a 7.5 hour day. An estimate from your numbers, not a quote, and it counts time recovered rather than headcount removed.
Get this scoped properly →How the sum works
People, times hours a week each, times the share of that time that is repetitive, gives the hours a week an automation could give back. Over 46 working weeks that becomes hours a year, and divided by a 7.5 hour day it becomes working days. Multiply the hours by what an hour costs you and you have the yearly cost.
The payback line divides the published build range on our pricing page by the weekly saving. It is a rough guide, not a promise. If the numbers say a process is not worth automating, that is a useful answer too. See what we build.
Questions people ask about the calculator
How do I work out what an hour of staff time costs?
Take the salary, add employer costs such as National Insurance and pension, and divide by the hours actually worked in a year. It is what the hour costs you, not what you charge a client for it.
Is the result a quote?
No. It is an estimate built from the numbers you put in. It counts time given back, not jobs removed. A real quote comes after we have looked at the process itself.
What makes a process worth automating?
It happens often, it follows the same steps each time, and the information it needs already exists somewhere, in an email, a form or a spreadsheet. If every case needs a judgement call, the saving is smaller and we will say so.
